‘I developed the Back Me Up Chair because I believe that a chair should be most beautiful – in terms of both shape and material – on the side you see the most: the back. With the Back Me Up, you can pick different materials for the backrest and the seat. To make this more visible, even from the back, I have “lifted” the backrest a bit so that the seat peeks out from under it. I designed the position of the legs to look like they are pushing up the backrest. The backrest is slightly flexible and feathers a little, adding extra comfort to the chair.‘
